Upper primary students are learning about bread from different cultures. They conducted an experiment using the scientific process to discover how yeast causes bread dough to rise. They put a mixture of yeast, sugar and warm water into a bottle which they covered with a balloon. The balloon started to inflate. They were very excited and participated wholeheartedly during this science activity.
Class Field Trip to Le Bouchon Italian Restaurant
Submitted by kala on 2012, May 5 - 1:17午後My class was invited by the owners of Le Bouchon, Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Marchal, to see the process of making pizza baked in a specially constructed stone oven. The field trip was in conjunction with the unit on Food Through Bread that students have been studying. Le Bouchon is a popular restaurant very close to Rose Marie Academy in Srichaitong Village off Chaengwattana Road.
