The Senior High School students welcomed Mr. Ravi Pradhan on Friday, October 9, 2015, to present an introductory workshop on “Mindfulness”.
Mr. Pradhan started by explaining what mindfulness is and how, by practicing it, students can improve many aspects of their lives. The effects of stress, particularly at exam time, can be reduced. Students can become better listeners and improve their communication skills which, in turn, will help relationships both at school and within the family. Academic performance can also be enhanced with increased focus.
Students were then led through exercises to improve their mindfulness, and they found these interesting, informative, and also fun. Finally, Mr. Pradhan encouraged the students to practice these exercises daily to bring about self-improvement. A vote of thanks was given by Panupong Sriudom.
