On March 9 and 10, 2017, eight students and four teachers visited Nakhon Nayok province and enjoyed the hospitality of Khun Issra and Khun Weerawan, parents of Nattanicha Wisupakarn, at their Sai Nam Sai Resort.
The first stop enroute was to the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy where, after an interesting tour of the museum, the students tried their hand at archery and air rifle shooting under the instruction of the military personnel. After a delicious lunch courtesy of our sponsors, we headed toward the resort where we were warmly welcomed by our hostess, Khun Weerawan. We found the resort delightful and situated in picturesque surroundings which we explored after settling in. We then proceeded to the Wang Takrai Waterfall which was in a beautiful park although, at this time of the year, there was not much water. Next it was the very impressive Khundan Prakarnchol Dam and a good photo shot opportunity. Dinner was delicious, again provided by our sponsors, and then back to the resort and board games before bed.
We had a late leisurely breakfast the next day before visiting the Khonyok Sheep Farm on our way back. There were sheep, an ostrich, and horses to feed, and they were delighted to greet us, especially when they saw that we had food. The field trip ended with lunch at McDonald’s. The students and teachers arrived at school bearing gifts of marian plum, a speciality of Nakhon Nayok, after a tiring but interesting and enjoyable two days. We thank Khun Issra and Khun Weerawan for their generosity and hospitality in making this a trip to remember.
