Rose Marie Academy had its first ever volleyball match against English Global School on January 23, 2015. RMA entered two teams which consisted of an A and B team. RMA had put in a lot of preparation for the game and had worked on tactics and skills. Each team would play three games; however, if one team won two games straightaway, then they would win overall. The B team played first, and the player of the match was Ozan; his serving made a difference. The score for both games was as follows:
Team B – RMA 15:5 GES and RMA 15:4 GES
Team A had to play to 20 points, and the game required all players to dig deep and use their existing knowledge and understanding of volleyball. The player of the match was Putter who was focused and constantly involved in all play. RMA was the better team and this was due to all players playing at their best. They won both of their matches. Their score for both games was as follows:
Team A – RMA 20:18 GES and RMA 20:17 GES
I can honestly say that RMA students were amazing, confident, and communicated in the game. They did deserve to win, and I feel fortunate that I got the opportunity to see this first hand.
The students who participated were:
Wit, Mew, Bank, Putter, Kris, Faiza, Zen, Tino, Ozan, Hocky, Charn
