Ancient Egypt
The Upper Primary class has been learning about daily life in Ancient Egypt. The students made Egyptian cakes using authentic stoneground flour sweetened with honey as the Ancient Egyptians did not have sugar. The flour made the cakes taste gritty, which was no good for the teeth, but the cakes had a unique and interesting flavor.
The Ancient Egyptians also played a board game called Mehen. We held a Mehen tournament using the students’ game boards which created a lot of excitement and healthy competition.
