Child Center students have been participating in eLearning since March 23 since the onset of COVID 19. Although there may have been some reservations about the appropriateness of this way of teaching for young children, we have been amazed at its success. The students, with the support of their parents, adapted quickly to this new world, and teachers followed the normal classroom schedules as closely as possible with necessary adaptations of teaching material, classroom organization, and teaching techniques. The learning curve has been a positive one for both teachers and students, and there has been sound academic progress.
On Thursday February 27, 2020, Rose Marie Academy students staged an all
campus exhibition. The theme for this exhibition is Myths and Legends. Students
were asked to develop a personal response to this theme using a variety of
two and three dimensional materials including recyclables. Senior High students
created large scale images based on Norse Mythology for this event.

Rose Marie Academy will celebrate twenty-five years of educational commitment to our Thai and international communities in 2020. As part of our silver jubilee celebrations, and in appreciation for the community support we have received, we will launch the International Transition Program, specifically designed for Thai students to add an international component to their education. It will be taught in English separate from our regular Grade 1–8 programs.
This new program will begin on March 16, 2020, with the aim of preparing students to enter an international or bilingual school in the future. The fees will be affordable to more families, but the same high standards of education will be maintained.
We are offering a free trial for students from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2020. We ask for your support in distributing the enclosed invitations to friends, neighbors or relatives. If they are interested, please ask them to contact Khun Wanchai at 02-960-3663 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Bangkok Post Article – Human Resource Watch: The Inclusive Approach
December 4, 2019, was a pleasantly cool day for the wide variety of physical activities offered on sports day. After the official opening by Khun Wanchai and the traditional torch relay, the fun started with everyone – students, staff, and parents joining in a warm-up retro-fitness dance. Teacher Bobby was M.C. for the occasion and besides giving the order of events, cheered and encouraged full participation and good sportsmanship. The students enjoyed the games, carefully selected to allow for age-appropriate skills and interests. The most popular games by far were those in which the parents gamely joined – tug of war, basketball, and soccer.
A great time was had by all, and we look forward to next year’s fun. Thank you to everyone involved.
The basketball matches between Rose Marie Academy (RMA) and Global English School (GES) on Friday, November 22, were exciting to watch. All the teams played well and the matches were very competitive. RMA played hard but unfortunately lost all three matches. It was tough to compete with a bigger school with enough players to take…
