The festive occasion was made colorful with the traditional dress of Australia, countries of the continent of Africa, The Solomon Islands and the Philippines. Lunch was a gastronomical feast enjoyed by all, and reflected the multicultural nature of both the occasion and our school.

Senior High School’s annual Flea Market went down well with the Rose Marie Academy community. Albeit a smaller affair with fewer items up for grabs, most left with something in their hand! Khun Rose Marie accompanied by Khun Wanchai came and opened proceedings by cutting the ribbon. First customers were Teacher May’s class, levels 1 thru 3, and an eager bunch they were! Everyone managed to spare a few minutes of their busy day to pop up and support Senior High School in their efforts to gather monies for their slush funds! For this, Senior High are all extremely grateful. A big THANK YOU also goes out to all who donated unwanted items from home!
Rose Marie Academy organizes a Songkran celebration every year for students, parents, and staff to join in celebrating a most important part of Thai culture. This year the theme was the importance of water in the Thai way of life. Before the event, students researched and wrote about it. Their work was displayed on boards for parents and visitors to appreciate. The event included the important part of this traditional Thai New Year when the students expressed their gratitude to teachers and parents through the impressive water-pouring ceremony. The school also provided opportunities for students to learn to perform Thai dancing which reflected the theme. The students showed their great talents which everyone enjoyed and admired. Traditional games like egg scooping and sand castle building added more fun to the event.
