Upper Primary students started their study of “Natural Disasters” by looking at the structure of the earth and making models to show the different strata. A practical experiment showing how a volcano erupts using play dough, baking powder, and colored vinegar generated much excitement and called for several repetitions by popular demand.
Rose Marin Academy is offering an IELTS preparation class for students from 16 years of age. IELTS scores are recognized world-wide for entry to institutions of higher education. December 4, 2019, was a pleasantly cool day for the wide variety of physical activities offered on sports day. After the official opening by Khun Wanchai and the traditional torch relay, the fun started with everyone – students, staff, and parents joining in a warm-up retro-fitness dance. Teacher Bobby was M.C. for the occasion and besides giving the order of events, cheered and encouraged full participation and good sportsmanship. The students enjoyed the games, carefully selected to allow for age-appropriate skills and interests. The most popular games by far were those in which the parents gamely joined – tug of war, basketball, and soccer.
A great time was had by all, and we look forward to next year’s fun. Thank you to everyone involved.
The basketball matches between Rose Marie Academy (RMA) and Global English School (GES) on Friday, November 22, were exciting to watch. Rose Marie Academy held its annual “Sports Day” on December 7, 2018, with all manner of fun activities. It was a huge success with parents also participating in games which really motivated their children. Khun Wanchai Chaiyasit, our Deputy Executive Director, gave a warm welcome to all who joined. The day was full of fun, cheers, laughter, and exciting activities.
Eager to be part of everything, children engaged in various activities including tug of war, golf ball stack, hula hoop shot, shoe kick, and the sponge race to name but a few.
All Students, along with parents, demonstrated amazing agility, coordination, and keenness in the effort to do their best.
The day ended with our teachers congratulating the students on their efforts and awarding a certificate of achievement to all the worn out participants!
