Upper Primary students were very involved in their study of “Life in Ancient Egypt” and were able to compare it with their own lives.
They dressed up in clothes worn by Egyptian nobles, made bread which was declared Yummy by some but tasteless by others, and wrote their names and messages to friends in hieroglyphics.
The mummification process was found to be interesting, if a little gruesome. The pyramids were studied with wonder and the recent discovery of a new corridor in one of the pyramids was a link to today and the effects of this civilization on the world.
