Loy Krathong is one of the most popular festivals in Thailand celebrated annually on the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month. This year it was on November 8, 2022.
Students at Rose Marie Academy had a great time making their own krathongs out of banana trunks and decorating them with local Thai flowers. Apart from having a great time making their own krathongs, students also learned how to preserve the environment while continuing a long standing cultural tradition.
This year’s krathong making activities were made possible by the generosity of Khun Supattra, Kolataj’s mother, who provided all materials for students to make their beautiful krathongs.
