The artist Cezanne thought that fruits love having their portraits done
I got my inspiration about still life from Cezanne. I practiced how to use shape, tone, scale, line, and comparison. I had to calculate the scale of the object by hand. The hardest thing to do in this project was using tone and scale of the object. I used many types of pencil doing this work. I discovered still life from my World War II project. I saw a painting of a lemon by Matthew Hodgkin that looked so real it was mistaken for a photograph. I am happy with my result.
